The Mentor Michigan Directory allows you to find mentoring programs near you. All you have to do is provide your zip code. Programs are organized in distance away from you, age of youth it serves, as well as if it is one-on-one or in a group setting.
The mission of the IMAGINE Mentoring Program is to teach young women who have experienced trauma to imagine the power of their potential, increase their self-esteem through self-awareness, and encourage them to pursue their dreams in spite of the obstacles they face in their lives.
Affinity Mentoring’s model provides individual, one hour per week mentoring with trained, safe, supportive adults to support the growth of leadership and social-emotional skills, as well as math and literacy skills.
BINGO’s one-on-one mentoring sessions create caring and meaningful relationships between mentee and mentor. They meet weekly to talk about problems, concerns, achievements, mutual interests, or just life in general.
A HOPE Mentor participates in training to learn essential skills and processes to help build a girl’s self-esteem, help her become a stronger leader, and help her set and achieve goals. HOPE Mentors understand they are to support the girl, not parent, judge, or control her life.
University Mentorship is a voluntary, selective program for first-year students which means students must apply to the program and be selected. Incoming, enrolled first-year students are eligible to apply online and will receive an email inviting them to apply.
