The Mentor Michigan Directory allows you to find mentoring programs near you. All you have to do is provide your zip code. Programs are organized in distance away from you, age of youth it serves, as well as if it is one-on-one or in a group setting.
The mentoring roadmap concept encompasses the following steps: (a) self-reflection, (b) establishment of mentor–mentee relationship(s), (c) maintenance of mentoring relationships, and (d) advancing in mentoring relationship(s).
Advocate for issues and standards that promote and support high-quality mentoring in Michigan. Recognize the accomplishments of mentors and the organizations that support them. Identify and secure resources to support the development and sustainability of mentoring programs.

The process and benefits of mapping a personal mentoring network to support comprehensive career planning and progress along a defined trajectory are delineated.
Mentor Michigan raises awareness of the value of mentoring for young people and adults alike. Each January, Michigan Mentoring Month is part of a national celebration of mentoring. There are thousands of children on waiting lists with local mentoring programs, most of them boys.
The Standards are in place in order for youth to receive the most beneficial and productive results from a mentoring relationship. The Standards are not meant to certify or accredit mentoring programs. They provide a planning and assessment framework that raises the bar for mentoring programs.
