Mentors and mentees should respect one another both as researchers/scholars/ creative practitioners, and as individuals. The Graduate School has developed a set of resources available online that addresses both the foundational values and the mentoring guidelines.
A major online service for locating mentors and developing one-on-one guided mentoring relationships is the MentorNet, a free, membership network for women in Engineering and Science that matches students, post-docs, and early-career researchers across universities and within industry.
This series of pages on mentoring is designed to provide ideas and resources related to mentoring, particularly for faculty and academic staff. It is critical that each of these individuals on our campus has access to the information and support they need to be successful.
