Mentees: Must be TRAPS members, employed in the field (part time, full-time), or a student, and complete a Mentee application. Mentors: Must be TRAPS members, committed to the program for at least one year, providing at least two hours of mentorship per month, and complete a Mentor application.

Like top-tier athletes, great mentors adapt to each unique relationship and tailor a mentorship to each individual.
31 Οκτ 2019 · Mentors have been a part of career growth since the beginning of time–sharing their knowledge, experience and support with mentees as a benefit to each involved and the profession as a whole. This kind of positive relationship allows each individual to reflect on their skills, experiences and reach their fullest potential.
Mentor: The role of an effective mentor is to encourage the mentee to explore ideas and take risks in the learning process. In addition, mentors should provide appropriate and timely advice, along with sharing the knowledge and skills obtained from their professional experience.
NRPA supports efforts to expand mentoring opportunities through parks and recreation by providing training, guidance, resources and professional development opportunities, which include in-person and virtual learning events, to the field.
