28 Ιουν 2024 · iRT is excited to announce that it is collaborating with the Office of Juvenile Affairs (OJA) and the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth (OCCY) to implement and evaluate Mentoring Central’s training programs and mentoring resources in mentoring programs across Oklahoma.
Uplift Mentoring is dedicated to closing the mentoring gap in our community. We recruit, train, and connect supportive mentors with children to help them grow holistically in their development.

Mentoring Central has been working closely with the OJA and the OCCY to determine which web-based and instructor-led trainings developed by Mentoring Central to implement in Oklahoma programs, according to these unique needs of their mentors and staff.
National Center for Disability Education and Training (NCDET) and the Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) have launched a peer mentoring program, adapted from Peer MentoringWorks, for mentees (high-school students) aged 16-21 and mentors aged 18-26.
Mentors listen, coach, and advise. Mentors provide candid and honest appraisal of the mentee teams and their technologies and/or startup companies, pointing out options, considerations and recommending courses of action.
Mentors make a commitment to spending time with their mentees for at least one year. Our mentor/mentee matches enjoy playing basketball, fishing, watching movies, playing video and board games, sporting events, baking and cooking, making crafts, and attending Team Up group activities together.
