26 Νοε 2011 · I pushed the middle sized hose down the dip stick and pumped but it took a while since the oil was cold (yes, I know the oil should be warm). Therefore I am looking for a better way to connect it directly to the threaded dip stick fitting.
Changing engine oil requires some basic hand tools, a container for the used oil and, in many cases, an oil extraction pump to draw the used oil from the engine through the dipstick tube. Some MerCruiser engines are outfitted with an EZ Drain system that doesn’t require an extraction pump.
15 Νοε 2018 · If you're worried that the dipstick mounted suction pump will leave some oil in the pan, you can add another sacrificial quart after the initial "pump out" and then pump that out to fully remove any dirty oil.
10 Απρ 2024 · Depending on your dipstick design and/or the type of pump you use--- either screw the pump fitting on the top/threaded part of the dipstick--or insert the skinny tube down the dip stick tube until you feel you have reached the bottom of the oil pan. Then pump out the old oil.
30 Οκτ 2006 · When I'm ready to change the oil I run the hose out the bilge drain hole in the transom, warm up the engine to thin the oil, stop the engine, remove the engine oil fill cap, and then unscrew the end cap on the hose and place the end of the hose into a container on the ground below the transom.
