Metal Garden Obelisk: I found a CD stand at the thrift shop for a few dollars and envisioned a free standing metal garden obelisk. Here's how I converted my thrift shop find.
14 Απρ 2019 · A simple, metal obelisk can easily be created using galvanised garden wire and metal rods. Create an interesting shape by bending the rods and securing them in place with the wire. The structure can be as big as you like, although a minimum of about 1m high is best for the most lightweight climbers.

The obelisk illustrated here is easy and quick to build and uses commonly available steel rebar. To add some decoration, it is topped with a cast iron finial (source provided).
