- Where to Buy MetroCard
OMNY is the easiest, most flexible way to pay your subway or bus fare. You don't have to sign up or download an app; simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smartphone, wearable device, or OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY currently supports full-fare and Reduced-Fare pay-per-ride options.
7 Αυγ 2024 · For most riders, the subway fare is $2.90. Reduced fares are available for people 65 and older, people with disabilities, and low-income New Yorkers. Learn more about fares. Before you go, check service status on our live subway map, which includes a filter for accessible stations.
Current fares. Fare media. MetroCard is accepted on MTA Regional buses, the New York City Subway, Metro North's Hudson Rail Link, the Staten Island Railway, PATH, Roosevelt Island Tramway, AirTrain JFK, Nassau Inter-County Express, and Bee-Line Bus.
What is OMNY? OMNY is the contactless fare payment system for public transportation in the New York region. Simply use your contactless credit or debit card, smart phone, wearable device, or an OMNY card to tap and go. OMNY will eventually combine fare payments and ticketing across subways, buses, paratransit, and commuter rail.
Prices. The price of a single ticket on the New York subway is US$ 2.90. If you plan to use public transport frequently, we recommend paying with OMNY, as from the 12th trip onwards the weekly fare will be US$ 34.80. Until the end of 2024, you can still use the MetroCard, which is valid for the subway and buses. Schedule.
New York MetroCard prices. A single ride is $2.90 and tickets are sold at vending machines. A 7-day MetroCard costs $34.00 and is a popular New York subway pass option. Some contactless bank cards can tap on and off through the OMNY system.
