The Boston University Master of Fine Arts in Film & Television Studies offers you a chance to study what you love — and then turn that passion into a career. COM’s four-semester MFA program inspires students to view the field’s changing landscape from multiple perspectives.
Program opportunities also include visits from acclaimed film/video artists and curators, cross-registration with MIT and UMass Boston, internships, teaching assistantships, and the exceptional cultural, creative and intellectual resources of the City of Boston.
The Film/Video BFA program offers small class sizes and faculty who empower students as artists, critical thinkers, and media professionals. The two-year Film/Video MFA program is selective, rigorous and committed to developing students’ practice as moving image artists.
The Graduate Major Studio in the Film/Video MFA Program focuses on critiques of student work and discussion of various theoretical and contemporary issues in the moving image. The curriculum includes visits with nationally and internationally known film/video artists and curators.
