Matches nearly any wire, with max. 200W PEP. Translates high-z to low-z or vice versa by reversing the unit. Small dimensions: 5 x 7.5 x 5cm, also very useful for receiving-only antennas.
The MFJ-16010 is a variable L-network random wire antenna tuner designed to match the low output impedance of your transmitter to the high impedance of a random wire (or vice versa). It will match almost any random length of wire to any transmitter from 160 thru 10 meters.
The product range of the well known american productioner MFJ includes a large number of manuel usable asymmetric or symmetric antenna tuners, as well as automatic antenna tuners. From small QRP tuners up to the 1,5 kW rating class, in roller conductor or switched conductor construction, as desktop or outdoor version.
The MFJ tuners works automatically, no manual tuning required. The tuning starts with a transmit power as low as 2 Watt (MFJ004BRT, other models require 5W), but 10 to 20 Watt are recommended for best results.
An MFJ HF tuner (160 M-10 M), capable of 1.5 kW of power SSB and CW. It is an external tuner and can be installed at the base of the antenna, which yields better results than with the tuner in the shack. It goes well with the Ameritron amps: ALS-1300, AL-80B, AL-82, AL-1200 and AL-1500 legal limit amplifiers.
Tuning and matching units (ATUs) are essential to radio communication systems and allow users to get the best performance from their antenna. Moonraker offers a variety of ATUs from different brands and at different price points to suit your budget. An ATU works by adjusting your transceiver's impedance to match the impedance of your antenna ...
