Section 8 subsidizes rental assistance to meet the housing needs of qualified very low, and low-income income persons and households. The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is a tenant-based program in which the participants can choose the unit where they will live.
The application process is exclusively online. Applicants can visit miamidadevoucher.myhousing.com. For those without internet access, technical assistance is available at select libraries and community centers during business hours. The application period is from Feb. 5 at midnight to Feb. 19 at 11:59 p.m.
Either you or the owner may submit the completed Request for Tenancy Approval (RTA) package to MDHCV. Packets may be turned in one of several ways: PREFERRED METHOD! Complete the request through the online portal: https://www.mdvoucher.com/rta; Email the PDF version to customercare@mdvoucher.com. (include your entity ID in the subject line)
