Launch the Outlook application. When prompted enter in your Gmail-specific email: CaneID@students.miami.edu. Select Google as the account type. Enter in the IMAP server settings for Gmail. Then, click Next. Enter your Password then click Connect. Confirm your account information (CaneID) is correct and click Next.
Navigate a web browser to gmail.miami.edu. Enter your University of Miami CaneID and password , and then click Sign in . Then, enter your multi-factor authentication (MFA) passcode , and then click Verify .

Launch the Outlook app. On the welcome screen tap Add Account. Enter the email address as your CaneID@students.miami.edu. Select Google as the email provider. Click OK. Choose your university email account. If not listed, select Use another account to sign in with your UM email address (CaneID@miami.edu). Click Continue. Click Allow.

All new mail is being delivered to a students' @miami.edu Gmail inbox. Students can still log in to Outlook to review or forward emails received before the transition to Gmail. Learn more about the transition to Gmail .
According to UMIT, the majority of the UM community uses the web-based version of Outlook 365 by logging in through mail.miami.edu. However, with mobile and desktop versions available, you can get to your inbox from just about anywhere.
