Michigan requires the buyer of all sales and/or transfers of pistols to undergo a background check. If you don’t have your Michigan CPL, you must get a permit to purchase from your local police department prior to taking possession of the pistol. Buyers Must: Be age 21 or older; Have a valid purchase permit (form RI-010) Be a resident of Michigan
31 Ιουλ 2024 · To buy a firearm in Michigan, start by applying for a pistol purchase permit and a pistol sales record, or PSR, at your local police station if you’re planning to buy the firearm privately. If you’re purchasing it from a federally-approved dealer, you’ll only need the PSR, which has to contain the seller’s name and details of your pistol.
(a) No permit to purchase a handgun, registration certificate for any handgun shall be issued to: (1) Any person under eighteen (18) years of age; (2) Any person addicted to any controlled substance as defined in MCLA 333.7104.
* A permit to purchase is required to buy a handgun from a private individual. A license to purchase is not required if purchasing a handgun from a Federal Firearms Dealer.
