31 Ιουλ 2024 · You don't need a purchase permit if you already have a Michigan license to carry a concealed pistol. You only need to get the Pistol Sales Record, which you can get online at the Michigan State Police website at www.michigan.gov/msp.
* A permit to purchase is required to buy a handgun from a private individual. A license to purchase is not required if purchasing a handgun from a Federal Firearms Dealer.

An applicant for a Michigan CPL must: Be at least 21 years of age. Be a citizen of the United States or an alien lawfully admitted into the United States. Be a legal resident of Michigan and reside in Michigan for at least six months immediately prior to application. An applicant is a resident of Michigan if one of the following applies:
(a) No permit to purchase a handgun, registration certificate for any handgun shall be issued to: (1) Any person under eighteen (18) years of age; (2) Any person addicted to any controlled substance as defined in MCLA 333.7104.
