31 Ιουλ 2024 · To buy a firearm in Michigan, start by applying for a pistol purchase permit and a pistol sales record, or PSR, at your local police station if you’re planning to buy the firearm privately. If you’re purchasing it from a federally-approved dealer, you’ll only need the PSR, which has to contain the seller’s name and details of your pistol.
Michigan requires the buyer of all sales and/or transfers of pistols to undergo a background check.
