A MINDFUL BREATHING SCRIPT. Start by settling into a comfortable position and allow your eyes to close or keep them open with a softened gaze. Begin by taking several long slow deep breaths breathing in fully and exhaling fully. Breathe in through your nose and out through your nose or mouth.
Bring your attention into your body, become aware of your breathing, and see if you can discover the place in your body where you most clearly experience the sensation of your breath moving in and out. Some people most clearly feel their breath in the rise and fall of their chest, or their belly.
Hello and welcome to this guided meditation that combines awareness of the breath with compassion for the self. In this practice, we will use the breath as a tool to support the cultivation of self-love. To begin, settle into a seated position. Elongate your spine and relax your shoulders, closing your eyes when you are ready.
Today we will practice two minutes of mindful breathing (3 seconds). Begin by taking a full breath in and a long breath out (3 seconds). Allowing the breath to settle the body and settle the mind (3 seconds). Feel your chest and stomach gently rising and falling with each breath (7 seconds).
Find a breath that reflects all the qualities of calm, patience, spaciousness and ease that we’d like to see in the mind. Intention for this meditation, is the noticing of breath. So we commit, right here right now, to holding the mind’s attention on breath.
