The Glare was one of the three mobs that people were able to choose at the eleventh Minecon, or Minecon Live 2021. This mob has the ability to locate dark areas, and becomes grumpy whenever it's shrouded in darkness. This helps the player mob-proof dark areas by finding where mobs could spawn.

16 Οκτ 2021 · The Glare’s special ability is to pinpoint exactly where hostile mobs can spawn in dark areas. If you bring the Glare to a dim area, it’ll hover over to the exact area where it’s dark enough for monsters.
