Here we give you a glimpse into the leave policy in Bahrain. Under Bahrain Labor Law, workers shall be granted with following leaves as per the Articles 78 to 89: Official Public holidays; Annual leave; Sick leave; Maternity leave; Hajj Leave; Marriage Leave; Paternity Leave; Compassionate leave; Iddah Leave; Official Public holidays
20 Μαρ 2024 · The new law has been aligned with several Arab and international labour treaties and conventions to which Bahrain is a signatory and which have come into effect over the last 36 years.
Official Holidays. Article 64 states that on official holidays determined by the Council of Ministers, a worker may obtain a leave with full pay. If the employee is required to work on a holiday (e.g. health workers, security guards), he/she is entitled to receive additional wage equivalent to 150% of his usual wage for the day. Sick Leave
Workers in Bahrain are entitled to leave on official public holidays, which include Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, the Islamic New Year, National Day, and other official holidays. If required to work on these days, they are entitled to either additional pay or a compensatory day off .

2 Μαΐ 2023 · Private sector companies can decide whether or not to grant time off during public holidays. If employees work, they have the choice of having another day off in lieu or receiving a payment of 150% salary in addition to their regular salary.
