Instead of jumping in "whole hog" with a purchase of what would be my first boat, I'm instead toying with the idea of joining a boat club, such as Freedom Boat Club. They keep a 10:1 ratio of boats to members, and you're free of all the upkeep and hassle of boat ownership.

We are considering joining this club for the year to try out boating. We are a family of five with three kids who would enjoy being out on the lake, but I have no desire to own a boat. Anybody have any experience with this company?
I am wondering if anyone here uses Your Boat Club memberships as a substitute for owning a fishing boat and if so, what your experience has been.
