5 Μαρ 2011 · I have read many threads reccommending the use of Johnson's Paste Wax for protection of CI surfaces. When I first got interested in this hobby (about 5 years ago), I needed to protect my first table saw, and the only wax that I had was Minwax finishing wax.

But stay away from paste waxes for cars because many contain silicone oil (for better shine and water repellence). Instead, use a paste wax marketed for floors and furniture.

First wipe on a light coat of paste wax all across the top surface of the table saw, making sure to cover all areas that come in contact with wood when you use it.
