Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia (IMHA) is one of the most common causes of anemia in dogs. IMHA may present as an idiopathic event (primary) or secondary to a variety of infectious diseases, neoplasia, drugs, vaccins or inflammatory process (Table 1). There is no single pathognomonic finding for primary IMHA.
