Troop C is located at the northeast corner of Highway 40 at Highway 94 in St. Charles County. Troop C is one of the six original troops organized in 1931. It also has a service center located in Park Hills, MO, in the southern part of the troop.
Troop C Headquarters is currently located in Tampa, commanded by Major Richard Benton. Troop C consists of the seven Florida counties along the Gulf of Mexico: Sumter, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Polk, Pasco, and Pinellas.
The state is divided into nine Troops, located in the following cities: Troop A: Lee's Summit (Kansas City) Troop B: Macon. Troop C: Weldon Spring (St. Louis) Troop D: Springfield. Troop E: Poplar Bluff. Troop F: Jefferson City.
After completing training, officers were assigned to one of the six troops throughout the state. One of the six original troops was located in Kirkwood, MO, and named Troop C. Troop C Headquarters was in the basement of the Highway Department’s district building.
