The Troop C Service Center is located on the Mineral Area College campus just east of the US-67 and MO-32 interchange. The Troop C Super Site for Motor Vehicle Inspections and Drivers Examination is located at 3180 Koch Road in St Louis County.
Troop C Headquarters is currently located in Tampa, commanded by Major Richard Benton. Troop C consists of the seven Florida counties along the Gulf of Mexico: Sumter, Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Polk, Pasco, and Pinellas.
Troop C History. 1931 - 2021. With the creation and passing of Senate Bill 36, the Missouri State Highway Patrol began protecting the citizens of Missouri and monitoring traffic on the state’s roadways. On October 5, 1931, the First Recruit Class began training at the St. Louis Police Academy.
The state is divided into nine Troops, located in the following cities: Troop A: Lee's Summit (Kansas City) Troop B: Macon. Troop C: Weldon Spring (St. Louis) Troop D: Springfield. Troop E: Poplar Bluff. Troop F: Jefferson City.
