Obviously the tier 1 dorms that were built/remodeled recently (New, Vassar) will have better ones than the others; specifically, these to have in-unit air conditioning, but all the other dorms don't.

Watch the dorm i3 videos on mitguidetoresidences.mit.edu; Visit all dorms. Even if you’re absolutely certain where you want to live, it’s helpful to discover different places at MIT and make new friends.
I’m an upcoming freshman and have no idea which dorms to rank, so I’m hoping you guys can give me more insight than I could find on the dorm websites. I’m a very social person and want to live in a dorm where there are lots of activities and opportunities to socialize.
