Citing a work by multiple authors. For a source with two authors, list the authors’ last names in the text or in the parenthetical citation:

Three or more in-text citation in MLA. To format an in-text citation of a source with three or more authors, include the first author's last name followed by et al., and the page number or page range in parentheses. For example: (Sumantran et al. 106-114)
