Fire Safety Account Report: This report outlines how funds in the Fire Safety Account are distributed. The Minnesota State Fire Marshal (SFM) division has several reports that we produce and provide to the Minnesota State Legislature.
The State Fire Marshal supports fire departments in each municipality in Minnesota. They investigate fires, educate the public on fire safety and conduct fire safety inspections.

Starting June 14, 2021 the Kenai Peninsula is under a burn permit suspension. The burn suspension prohibits all burning requiring a permit, both large and small scale. This includes the use of burn barrels and burning of brush piles.
24 Μαΐ 2023 · Small-scale burn permits, which include burns of one brush pile, one burn barrel, or of maintained lawn, are available online at dnr.alaska.gov/burn. Larger burns require site inspection, additional people, water or heavy equipment, and must be acquired by contacting the division at forestry.alaska.gov.
