1. Learn how to make Sims 3 clothing (meshes, textures, etc.) 2. Open up the Sims 2 clothing in SimPE and extract the textures. 3. Make or find a Sims 3 mesh that roughly matches the shape of the Sims 2 mesh you want to "convert." 4. Use bits of the Sims 2 texture - or recreate it from scratch/other photos/etc. for Sims 3.
Unfortunately, most of the websites that had tons of conversions are now lost, like blackpearlsims, for example. You really have to hunt, even search the wayback machine to find the good old downloads. One thing that I've done to find some of the really old cc is to download houses/lots that are filled with it.
Table of Contents. Step 1: Introduction. Step 2: Required Tools. Step 3: Credits. Step 4: Prep your Working Folders. Step 5: Credit original TS2 creator. Step 6: Extract the Sims 2 (TS2) Mesh and Textures. Step 7: Create the Sims 3 (TS3) clone. Step 8: Extract TS3 Mesh and Textures.
You need to extract the textures from Sims 2, find a similar mesh for Sims 3, then copy the Sims 2 texture onto the Sims 3 texture. Simple!
I have always loved the ladybug house from the sims 2 and really wanted one for the sims 3! So here it is, a converted ts2 to ts3 ladybug house (Or well.. Bug house) I gave it 3 different color options and they're CAStable.
Converted to Sims 3 and packaged into a .zip file over at SimFileShare. Most pieces have at least one part if not all of it compatible with the create-a-style tool. There's also a collection file included - PLEASE - Tell me if the collection file I included was the incorrect one.
Hey, does somebody know where I can find s2tos3 conversions? I found a few on tumblr and modthesims but it's not a lot, unfortunately.
