From 1934 to 1946, Moe, Larry, and Curly produced over 90 short films for Columbia. Curly suffered a debilitating stroke in May 1946. Shemp returned, reconstituting the original lineup, until his death of a heart attack on November 22, 1955, three years and ten months after Curly's death of a cerebral hemorrhage.
m. Moses Harry Horwitz (June 19, 1897 – May 4, 1975), better known by his stage name Moe Howard, was an American comedian and actor. He is best known as the leader and straight man of the Three Stooges, the farce comedy team who starred in motion pictures and television for four decades.
Although Curly recovered enough to appear in Hold That Lion! in a cameo appearance (the only Three Stooges film to contain all three Howard brothers; Moe, Curly, and Shemp), he soon suffered a series of strokes which led to his death on January 18, 1952.

29 Αυγ 2022 · He died in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in 1975 of lung cancer, age 77, as reported by The New York Times, just a few months after Larry's death, and one month before both the 50th anniversary of his marriage to Helen and his 78th birthday. Moe was survived by his wife, Helen, and two children, Joan and Paul.
