5 Ιουν 2021 · Where fighters often differentiate themselves by the arms and armor they use, monks are most easily differentiated by the stances that they use. In a party, the Monk is a Defender and a Striker, standing on the front lines of melee combat to keep foes far away from their less sturdy allies.
The purpose of this guide is to provide players with insight as to how to build an effective monk. It is not specifically meant as an optimization guide but rather how to make a monk that you can enjoy playing and will be effective in combat.
5 Αυγ 2020 · This build is based on PF1’s chakra system found in Occult Adventures. In the build, I map the 2e monk’s ki-based feats to chakras, guided by the descriptions Paizo provides re: what each chakra is associated with (e.g. root chakra associated with instinct and survival).
My Preferred Monk Builds. There are many, many ways to build characters in PF2e, to the point that sometimes the choices are overwhelming. I really enjoy playing monk characters, but with their many different stances and/or ki spells, plus interactions with different ancestries and archetypes, starting a new monk can cause some anxiety.
Monk Sample Builds Crane Monk Source Core Rulebook pg. 164 4.0 Striving for grace in all things, you mimic the fluid movements of the crane. Your strikes are quick as the wind and your mind clear as a placid pool. Ability Scores Prioritize Dexterity for finesse attacks and high defenses.
Second, since the APG errata, Scales of the Dragon is incredibly good for Monk. It allows your 18 Str 16 Dex Monk to have the same AC as a Dex Monk would at level 10. This feat is level 4. I think this alone makes Dragon Disciple one of the best free archetypes in the game for Monk.
