5 Ιουν 2021 · Where fighters often differentiate themselves by the arms and armor they use, monks are most easily differentiated by the stances that they use. In a party, the Monk is a Defender and a Striker, standing on the front lines of melee combat to keep foes far away from their less sturdy allies.
The purpose of this guide is to provide players with insight as to how to build an effective monk. It is not specifically meant as an optimization guide but rather how to make a monk that you can enjoy playing and will be effective in combat.
Monk is my favorite class in any system, so after I wrote my sorcerer guide (Which you should totally read the post of btw) I decided to churn this out to have a good bit of content I can put out to the community. You can read the guide here.
5 Αυγ 2020 · Since I see lot of requests for monk builds, I figured I'd start this thread by sharing a build of my own and see if we can hit 101 unique builds! Build 1: Mystic Archer (human monk): 1 Natural Ambition (Ki Strike), Monastic Archer Stance. 2 Elemental Fist (Retrain to Stunning Fist with Expert EA Spellcasting), Cat Fall.
Monk Sample Builds Crane Monk Source Core Rulebook pg. 164 4.0 Striving for grace in all things, you mimic the fluid movements of the crane. Your strikes are quick as the wind and your mind clear as a placid pool. Ability Scores Prioritize Dexterity for finesse attacks and high defenses.
Since you can skip your 3 feats per archetype, you can actually build up an skill monk by taking all the archetypes that bump your skill proficiencies like: acrobat, medic, dandy, archeologist, herbalist, Linguist, Marshal, Golden League Xun, etc.
