18 Απρ 2018 · #1. Had this thing for a couple weeks now and have done some tube swapping, so I thought I'd share my opinions and observations on the MonoPrice Stage Right 5W 8" combo amp, which can usually be found for about $100 USD. This is essentially the same amp as the Laney Cub 8, with a few minor changes. Scroll down for photos. Basic Details:
7 Φεβ 2021 · #1. I have spent enough time with this amp that I feel I can give a fair review. I heard a tube setup decades ago and was really impressed. It was hooked up to a pair of ProAc response 3’s, which I’m sure helped. I wanted a 2.1 setup for my office, since I don’t have room for floor speakers.

1 Νοε 2021 · Auditioning the Monoprice Stereo Hybrid Tube Amp via such perennial favorites presented a special challenge. The shelf system is a 25-watt tube amp system that also has Bluetooth, so you can feed it from your smartphone or tablet. That makes it a hybrid system, using a solid-state power amplifier but a tube pre-amp.
The Monoprice is okay, but it's not "better" than your Orange, tonally it's subjective and I'd expect the Orange to be of higher build quality, so I wouldn't call it an upgrade. I'd say skip the Monoprice and just get a Blues Junior as that would more of an upgrade, in my opinion. Reply reply. Pohenis. •. Pro Jr. does not disappoint.
