I've found the performance of Montblanc's dye based inks to be excellent and, personally, hold them in the same regard as Pilot Iroshizuku and Pelikan Edelstein. Flow has always been good, nice saturation, and I've never had issues with staining in demonstrators.
They are well behaved inks and have average to good flow and they don't bleed very much. Also one thing to note is the Montblanc bottles are one of the best designed provided you like the boot shape. I save all my old bottles and use them as inkwells for other ink brands with bad bottle designs.

I have a bottle of Mont Blanc Beatles purple ink. It's one of my preferred hues of purple. The ink is good, it works fine but it doesn't do anything better than other ink I own.
