Are we required to offer remote cert/mid-certs or can we as an agency require in-person certs/midcerts? The intent of these policies is to reduce barriers to WIC participation. If staff assessment determines in-person appointments are needed, staff may request the person attend in- person.
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) serves about 1,200 women and children per month. WIC is a nutrition education program that also offers supplemental foods for women, infants and children who meet income guidelines.
1 Ιουλ 2024 · There are multiple components to eligibility for WIC, the Woman, Infants, Children program. First, there must be a WIC-eligible member in the household, meaning someone who is pregnant, was pregnant in the last six months, is breastfeeding a baby under one year old, or is a child under 5 years old.
