Hardiness: Nippon Daisy is hardy in USDA zones 5 through 9. It can tolerate cold temperatures down to -20°F (-29°C) when well-established. Uses: Nippon Daisy is a popular choice for perennial borders, rock gardens, coastal gardens, or as a low-maintenance landscape plant.
Growth on these daisies can become leggy and woody if it doesn’t die back during winter. It’s important to cut back the foliage in late fall. In spring to early summer, when the plant is in its active growing season, to encourage better growth pinch plants back to half their size.
