Monty was introduced to the Robotman strip in the early 1990s. In 1996, it was revealed that Monty was brainwashed of his past life as a government scientist, when he invented Robotman. Monty is typically depicted as socially awkward, having poor dress skills and has a prominent nose but no chin.
Monty and the Former Star of the Strip. Monty (formerly Robotman and then Robotman and Monty) is a comic strip by Jim Meddick that was started in 1985 and is still running to this day.
Monty's current roommate (Robotman took off in 2001 to find true love on the planet Diskelion) is a more openly acknowledged space alien named Mr. Pi. (It's the custom on his planet to name people after numbers, and in his case, an irrational one seemed appropriate.)
