The term MEDC is one used by modern geographers to specifically describe the status of the countries referred to: more economically developed. The first industrialised country was England, followed by Germany, France, the remainder of the United Kingdom and other Western European countires.
The term "developed country" is often used to describe a sovereign state that possesses a mature economy and a technologically advanced infrastructure—however, this description fails to convey the full breadth and depth of the term.
Introduction. The way that a country organizes its use of money, goods, and trade is described as its economy. Some countries have more developed economies than others. These are sometimes referred to as more economically developed countries (MEDCs). Countries with less developed economies are called less economically developed countries (LEDCs).

A developed country, or advanced country, [3][4] is a sovereign state that has a high quality of life, developed economy, and advanced technological infrastructure relative to other less industrialized nations.
