19 Ιουν 2024 · Operating Room Specialist (MOS 68D) is a terrific example of how you can join the Army medical team without any require college credits or degrees. The military not only builds job skills but is an excellent place to develop character and integrity.
Operating Room Specialist 68D. As an Operating Room Specialist, you'll assist nurses in prepping patients for surgery and providing assistance to doctors during surgical procedures. You'll ensure that operating rooms and surgical tools are properly sterilized and inspected before and after procedures.
I work side by side with 68D's and I'd suggest just waiting for 68c if your goal is nursing. 68d is as people said, giving instruments to the doc and counting shit, setting up cases, processing dirty instruments, and so on.
10 Ιουλ 2018 · What is AIT like for a 68D?: I just enlisted in the Army reserves as a 68D, does anyone have any insight or advice on what training is like? I'll be at Fort Sam from what looks like end of february until July or August.
7 Ιουν 2024 · AIT Phase I is designed to 'lead you through by the nose' in training for new Soldiers, but if you want to study up prior to attending, and you have a valid CAC, you can look over the Soldier's Manual and Training Guide for the 68D*.

As a 68D you will work in either 4 places: Operating Room (OR), Sterile Processing Department (SPD, some old places still call it CMS), Combat Support Hospital (CSH), or Forward Surgical Team (FST). I’ll break it down by department before my overall of this MOS.
