When Jesus then saw His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing nearby, He *said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son!”
With a quick glance toward his disciple John, Jesus spoke to his mother: "Woman, behold your son!" To John he said: "Behold your mother!" (John 19:26-27). From that hour John took her to his home.
