2 Σεπ 2021 · 1. The Quadrangle Building, NUIG. Completed in 1849, The Quadrangle building was home to Queen’s University, Galway when it opened its doors that same year. The modest cohort of 68 students studied in the Tudor Gothic-styled Quad that was built from local limestone. The building is fashioned after the Christ Church of Oxford University, UK.

Built in 1965 with local limestone, the immediately recognisable octagonal dome can be seen from miles around.
