The Film Program at Texas State University aims to educate “the complete filmmaker.” Our students gain extensive hands-on experience and an understanding of the entire machinery that goes into the making of a film and other forms of storytelling.
1 Αυγ 2024 · Beginning the spring semester of their freshman year and extending through the rest of their time at Texas State, students may be cast in any show in the Texas State season. Acting students may audition for musicals, and vice versa.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) major in Theatre with a concentration in Film Production requires admission to the university and admission to the program. Admission to the concentration will be based on the following criteria: Application form. See Theatre and Dance website for application dates. https://www.theatreanddance.txstate.
Students may apply to the Film Program after their first year at Texas State. Prospective Film Concentration candidates must take Film Production Practices & Filmmakers History of Film before applying. Admission to the concentration will be based on the following criteria.
