This is a comparison of the MPC and Maschine systems. Both Machines have their positives and negatives, but both are very fun to use.
The MPC One has less audio I/O vs the Live, but includes the CV out. The Lives both have batteries. In short, the MPC One is by far the best value for money in any case (especially vs the Maschine plus) unless you necessarily need the battery or the speakers.
The best features of the premium Maschine Studio are included in the Mk3 at a more affordable price point and a more compact design overall. The price of many basic Maschine DJ setups on the market will be more affordable than an MPC or a sampler.
5 Οκτ 2020 · I found the workflow of the MPC to be largely unintuitive while I got along with the Maschine near instantly. An important distinction- the MPC Live has a built in battery but most of its workflow seems based around its touchscreen.
Have you checked out Loopop's new video on the Maschine+? He compares it in-depth against the MPC One. Might be useful. Personally, I have an MPC-1000 (older hardware, same basic workflow) and I agree with you that it feels blocky and slow. The MPCs have a ton of features but they just don't feel as well-integrated as Maschine.
I use Maschine studio, and have have owned Maschine Mki, the Mikro MKi and mIkro MKii. The Maschine plus would be what I replace my studio with but I’m waiting to see if they make changes to the chassis and build.
