A bird’s-eye view refers to a viewpoint from above, looking down on a scene or object. This perspective offers a comprehensive view of a landscape, cityscape, or other large areas, similar to what a bird might see while flying overhead.

11 Ιουλ 2019 · Bird’s Eye is a great complement to ortho (top down) imagery because it has much more depth and provides all four angled views of your destination or area of interest. This Bird’s Eye imagery is sub-10 CM GSD (ground sample distance), which allows us to support more detailed levels of map zoom.
Unlike the top-down aerial view captured by satellite, Bird's-eye images are taken at an oblique 45-degree angle, showing the sides and roofs of buildings giving better depth perception for geography. With Bird's Eye views, many details such as signs, advertisements and pedestrians are clearly visible.
21 Νοε 2017 · You can see Bird’s Eye imagery in Bing Maps, and this view can offer a better context for navigation because building facades can be used as landmarks. With this release, the new Bird’s Eye experience passes 450 areas and the count of oblique aerial view of your favorite places keeps growing.
4 Νοε 2017 · You recently changed access to the Bird's Eye View in Bing Maps from the dropdown box to right-clicking the map. When I right-click the map and click on "Bird's Eye View"from the context menu, all that happens is that the "Road View" zooms in.
