More players are fine as well, but the game should include at least 2 players and when partner is not available, a solo option is really great. Any games out there that may be cards, but the cards could be transferred easily to poker chips?
In my collection, poker chips are preferred to be used for: - Great Western Trail, Lorenzo il Magnifico, Obsession, Concordia, Champions of Midgard, Stone Age (for food), 7 Wonders Duel, Troyes, Pret a Porter, Viticulture. I don't use them in Everdell since there's little coin exchange.
A sequel to Pokemon Master Trainer (even though this game has the exact same title), players roll dice and move their Ash pawns around the Johto Island board collecting, trading and battling Pokemon chips. Each battle won makes a Pokemon stronger.
I'm wondering if this sub would recommend me a game or 10 that I could essentially make with poker chips. The only ideas I have so far is to make re-skins / variations of games that I already own. Two that I have the originals for and have thought up so far are Secret Voldemort and Link Letter.
I’ve found a few euro games where poker chips were modestly helpful. Certainly, not indispensable as they are for 18xx. Iron Clays while pretty are generally too slippery. Apache Banks with 20s rather than 25s I’ve found to be perfect. Imperial, yes, I’ll break out the Apache Banks.
