Muskingum® Dogwood is a dense multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with an upright spreading habit of growth. Its average texture blends into the landscape, but can be balanced by one or two finer or coarser trees or shrubs for an effective composition.
9 Φεβ 2024 · Dogwood shrubs are relatively easy to care for, but they do have some specific needs. Sunlight: Dogwood shrubs can grow in full sun to significant shade, but they prefer full sun or part shade. Soil: Dogwood shrubs prefer moist soil, but some varieties can tolerate periodically or consistently moist soil.
For the easiest care it is best used for naturalizing in areas where it has room to spread, or can be grown as a ground cover in a more controlled environment. A colonizing (spreading) shrub for trouble spots, this dogwood almost goes looking for it.
Cornus racemosa 'Muszam' - 'Muszam' (Muskingum™) is short growing selection of Gray Dogwood only achieving 2 feet or so tall with a wider spread. Numerous small creamy white flattened coins adorn the shrub in June making the shrub showy when in bloom, not due to the size of the flowers but because of the fecundity of them.
