  1. 2 Ιουλ 2024 · The firing order for your Ford 289 engine is 1, 5, 4, 2, 6, 3, 7, 8. This order makes sure your engine runs smoothly and powerfully. It’s really important to get the alignment right; if it’s off, your engine might misfire or overheat.

  6. 11 Ιουν 2014 · 1. remove the pcv valve and oil cap. 2. shield the cap drom the radiator fan air. 3. blip the throttle and look for smoke out cap. 4. hold throttle steady at 1/3 open and look for smoke. 5. hold hand around 2" above breather hole and hold throttle 1/3 open. if it smokes your engine is bad.
