2 Δεκ 2020 · If your Safari bookmarks disappear, the cause is likely a corrupt .plist file. Here's how to restore them.
In the Safari app on your Mac, make sure all the bookmarks in the Favorites bar are displayed. If you see angle brackets at the right end of the bar, click them to show the rest of your bookmarks, or widen the Safari window. If you don’t see the bar at all, choose View > Show Favorites Bar.

To show them at the top see View your Favorites in Safari on Mac: Show the Favorites bar: Choose View > Show Favorites Bar. A bar with your favorite websites appears below the toolbar. With the Bookmarks module, added bookmarks display only when "All" is selected from the folder-choice drop-down. Upon changing that drop-down to any other folder, all bookmarks disappear. This has worked fine for years until just recently. I can confirm this happens on Windows & Mac, alike.
