CalFresh, known federally as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP, provides monthly food benefits to individuals and families with low-income and provides economic benefits to communities.
Who is it for? CalFresh is for people with low-income who meet federal income eligibility rules and want to add to their budget to put healthy and nutritious food on the table. Expansion of CalFresh to SSI/SSP Recipients! Beginning June 1, 2019, recipients of SSI/SSP benefits may be eligible for CalFresh Food benefits for the first time!
Customers will now be asked to enter the one-time code sent to their email address or phone number on file to access BenefitsCal. Once the code is entered on the page, the user will be able to access their case information.
