6 Σεπ 2024 · this office is a scam office !!!!! THEY USE SCARE TACTICS AN ACT AS A PRELEGAL INVESTIGATION OFFICE WHICH THEY ARE NOT. THEY ARE NOT EVEN REGISTERED THROUGH THE STATE AS A COLLECTION OFFICE.

It's HIPAA, not HIPPA, and that law does not prevent them from disclosing the details of a bill. They are lying. They must disclose the bill if they want to collect. This is most likely a scam, but even if you do have an old medical debt there is a good chance its no longer collectable.
11 Φεβ 2014 · Any time a party attempts to collect a debt they are bound by debt collection laws. The term pre-litigation firm does not exempt them from anything. However, it is in your best interest to communicate with them if you acknowledge that you do in fact owe money.
