Prophet Lut, known in the Bible as Prophet Lot, was raised by his uncle, Prophet Ibrahim, may peace be upon him. Prophet Lut (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) loved, respected, and believed in Ibrahim’s (عَلَيْهِ ٱلسَّلَامُ) message even when everyone ridiculed him.
Lut (Arabic: لوط, romanized: Lūṭ, ), also known as Lot in the Old Testament, is a prophet and messenger of God in the Qur'an. [1] [2] According to Islamic tradition, Lut was born to Haran and spent his younger years in Ur, later migrating to Canaan with his uncle Abraham. [3]
2 Δεκ 2015 · Prophet Lut AS was the nephew of the Prophet Ibrahim AS. The story of his people and the punishment they were afflicted with was a shocking incident in the life of Ibrahim AS. Lut AS, as you will recall, left Ur with Ibrahim AS and settled in Palestine. Nothing authoritative is known of Lut’s AS earlier life.

Lot's Cave (كهف لوط) or Cave of Nabi Lut (كهف النبي لوط) is an archaeological site south of the Dead Sea and near the village of Ghor as-Safi (ancient Zoar). The site comprises of a partly natural and partyle man-made cave and a seventh century CE byzantine monastery complex.

Ibrahim was torn into flames as he attempted to deter his people from worshiping idols and stars. But when Allah Almighty ordered the fire, “O fire! Be coolness and peace”, the fire didn’t go out and burn.
This building houses the maqam/shrine of Prophet Lut (عليه السلام) [Lot] and is situated in the town of Bani Na’im near the Dead Sea. Lut (عليه السلام) [Lot] is mentioned by name 17 times in the Quran; he was the paternal nephew of Ebrahim (عليه السلام).
