Quadrilaterals. Quadrilateral just means "four sides". (quad means four, lateral means side). A Quadrilateral has four-sides, it is 2-dimensional (a flat shape), closed (the lines join up), and has straight sides.
The square, like the trapezoid, the rhombus, or the parallelogram are quadrilaterals (with 4 sides) which have particularities (such as parallel sides or equal angles).
Examine the properties of the quadrilateral, including side lengths and angle measurement. Show step. Shape A A: 4 4 equal angles (right angles), each pair of opposite sides are equal in length, 2 2 pairs of parallel sides. Shape B B: One pair of equal angles (right angles), one pair of parallel sides.
This is a list of two-dimensional geometric shapes in Euclidean and other geometries. For mathematical objects in more dimensions, see list of mathematical shapes. For a broader scope, see list of shapes.
Circle. A circle is a 2D geometric shape consisting of all points that are at an equal distance from a central point called the center. This distance is known as the radius of the circle. Semicircle. A semicircle is half of a circle, which is formed by cutting a circle along its diameter and removing one of the resulting halves. Oval.
The quadrilateral has two pairs of opposite congruent sides, two pairs of opposite parallel sides, and four equal angles – right angles. Identify the quadrilateral. The best classification for the quadrilateral is a rectangle.
3 Δεκ 2015 · A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel. The first figure above is a parallelogram. There are a few special features of parallelograms. One is that each pair of parallel sides is congruent. In the first figure above, the two short sides are the same length and the two long sides are the same length.
